Nostalgia and Celebration
The crawling opening credits of the Star Wars movies is one of the most recognizable moments in film. I drew inspiration from that black and yellow color scheme to set the tone for the homepage. It’s an instant allusion to the epic saga that frames much of the assets on this page.
Visual Approach
The visual treatment is rooted in high contrast, bold color, and is paired with carefully selected merchandise that speaks to eBay as the destination for Star Wars lovers. This homepage takeover celebrates the rare, retro, and right now of the past 40+ years of Star Wars and was live for just one day.
